Welcome!Congratulations on taking the first steps of visiting a new church. We are glad that you have chose WBC as a place to visit. We understand that going to a new church can be a scary experience based upon one's background or history with other churches. At WBC we aim to provide a welcoming environment for all to experience the truth of God's Word. Here are a few FAQ's to help you learn more about our services prior to your arrival. Most importantly we want you to know that you are welcome here!
How Do I Get There?WBC is located at 2206 E Dupont Ave Belle, WV 25015. If you enter that address into your phone or GPS it will take you right to our front door. We are located beside of the Exxon gas station just off of US Route 60 in Belle, WV.
What Will Happen When I Visit? When you are visiting, we will not embarrass you or have you stand up and be recognized. We know that many people want to check us out and be anonymous for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come meet some amazing people and see if WBC is for you.
What Time Should I Arrive? You are encouraged to come 10-20 minutes early for our Sunday morning service. That will allow you plenty of time to find a parking spot and seat. An usher will greet you at the front door and answer any questions you may have.
Where Do I Park? There is ample free parking all around our building. We encourage visitors to park as close as possible to our main entrance. There is handicap parking available just up the hill at our side entrance.
How Does Your Pastor Preach?Messages from the pastor start with a reading from the Bible and last approximately 30-40 minutes ending with a challenge and an opportunity for the congregation to respond. Those who want to respond can come forward during an invitation for personal prayer or prayer with the pastor.
What Is Your Music Worship Style? At WBC we have a more traditional approach to music but often incorporate contemporary styles. Traditional hymns are sung, such as "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art," along with some contemporary praise songs by our choir and solo singers. The use of piano is common in most services. Overall, the focus for our music is on worshiping God by creating an atmosphere of reverence and adoration.

What Should I Wear?At WBC, you’ll see lots of people in jeans, khakis and comfortable clothing (even shorts in the summer). You’re welcome to dress casually. We are more concerned about you and your presence with us than we are with what you wear.
How Long Do Services Usually Last?In total, our services usually last just over an hour. Services generally begin with 15-20 minutes of worship and music followed by the pastor bringing a message that lasts 30-40 minutes.
Do I Need To Bring A Bible? We encourage you to bring your own bible with you so as to best engage with the message. However, the scripture for the message is projected onto a large screen so that you can follow along that way as well. Use of a bible app on your phone or tablet is also welcomed. You can use any bible translation you are accustomed to. Our pastor typically uses the Christian Standard Bible (CSB).
If you do not have a bible, there are CSB copies available in the pews that you can take home as a free gift you to! Do You Have Nursery Services?Yes, the WBC Nursery is open during all church services. However, the Church Nursery is staffed with volunteers only for the 11:00 am Sunday service. The church nursery is designed for children from 3 months to 3 years, the nursery is divided into a baby/crawler side and a toddler/runner side to keep all your little ones safe and having fun.
Parents can drop off their little ones and attend the Sunday Morning worship service with peace of mind knowing that all of our volunteers have been vetted by background checks and completion of safety training. The nursery opens 10-20 minutes prior to service starting. Please see an usher for directions or more information. What Do My Older Kids (4+) Do During Services?Children older than three years of age are encouraged to attend church services with their parents. Attending church services can provide young children with a foundation of spiritual education and teachings that they can carry with them throughout their lives. By attending services together, children can meet other children and families, and build friendships and relationships within their community. We do offer “Grow Kids” & “Grow Students” programs on Sunday evenings @ 6pm during the school year and special events for the whole family during the summer months.
